Estonian Hansapank opened the first banking office in Moscow
Estonian Bank Hansapank opened on Sept. 6 its first banking office in Moscow. To do this, the bank had to buy Russia's Bank Quest "in March 2005. The amount of the transaction – 2.5 million euros. The former bank branch Quest on Sadovaya-Spassky renamed Hansabank – it was under such brand's largest Estonian bank registered in Russia. On REGNUM was informed today, 8 September, the press service of Hansapank. It is planned that the Moscow office will serve corporate customers in Scandinavia and the Baltic States, services will be provided to private clients since 2007.
Hansapank now have three banking offices in Russia – in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad. Due to intensifying its activities in Russia the number of employees Hansapank in Russia's three offices will increase by the end of 2005 to 190 people.

In the three Baltic countries in 280 offices of agencies working 6 213 people. In Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania established 1 017 ATMs Hansapank. Internet Bank Hansapank serves 1.3 million customers. In 2004, the bank earned a profit of 182.8 million euros, including in Estonia – 109.1 million euros, in Russia – 8.4 million euros.
